Martina Knauf´s introduction to the world of fashion began with a participation in an international contest, the Igedo Fashion Future Award in Düsseldorf, followed by an invitation to a show in Miami, the Avenida Moda. (August 1999)
These success inspired her passion for the world of fashion. Her first customer was the KaDeWe in Berlin,
followed by luxury boutiques in New York where she was represented by the showrom Apropo.
The New Yorker Showroom, Prêt-à-Porter and Premiere Classe shows in Paris, the London Fashion Week, the Modamilano and the participation in a showroom concept in Milano brought her to the attention of the international Press, department stores and luxury boutiques across the world.
Her pieces have been stocked in famous Department Stores , hotels as well as luxury boutiques in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, France, Monaco, Belgium, the United Kingdom. Greece, Denmark, Sweden, Singapore, Australia, Kuwait, Brazil, Argentina, Japan, South Africa. USA, Kanada etc.
In addition a sample of her collection was shown in an exhibition "Innovative materials" in the `Musée Galliera – Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris where a sample is stocked.

She was invited to the Engadine where she experienced magic moments. The beautiful nature of the Engadine and intense energetic intrensic light inspired her to create fairytale accessoires .
The edition is named "Colour Caleidoscope", exclusive unique one off luxury art pieces. .
Her life has always been influenced by a creativ and an artistic background, a cosmopolitan education and travel.
Her mother loved paiting, her grandmother was a photographer, her grandfather an architect in Berlin and her great uncle a founder of an innovative furniture company. Her father was an international manager. He collected rare illustrated books. Her parents loved travelling.
She loves art, design, music and the sports. As a child she was taught skiing, playing piano, tennis and basketball, as a youngster horse riding, as adult Sailing & Yachting and Golf.
She studied at the Sophia University Tokyo , at the DUK Krems-Vienna , the Central St. Martin´s College of Art and Design London , at the Euro FH Hamburg and the Master of Art at the Art Academy Nürnberg in textile & wearable art & sculpture and general studies in interior and grafics.
While living in London she was working for Dunlop Slanzeger tennis.
Her parents presented her the famous book "Alice in wonderland" written by Lewis Carroll illustrated by Dali. An extraordinary and magic art book which influenced her whole live.
